About the Opportunity

Randstad is proud to be exclusively recruiting for a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions. Our client is dedicated to making food safe and available everywhere while protecting people and the planet. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their projects and pre-projects team in Melbourne.

This is an initial 3–6 month contract starting ASAP, with a strong potential for extension based on an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing process solutions for projects ranging from small to large scale. Your duties will include:

• Design & Engineering: Lead and handle the design specification and dimensioning of process equipment and integrated solutions.
• Project Delivery: Engage in the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to installation and commissioning.
• Technical Sales Support: Provide technical support to the sales organization during the pre-project stage, including developing budgets and timelines.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Lead technical discussions with customers and interact with internal and external stakeholders to deliver top-notch solutions.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure all technical solutions comply with internal quality requirements, ISO 9001:2015, and OHS standards.
• On-Site Support: Travel to customer sites as required for installation, commissioning, and issue resolution.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess a background in Chemical Engineering.

• Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of process engineering experience specifically within the food or beverage industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to draw, read, and understand P&IDs, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication and cooperation skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Drive: A self-motivated, result-driven professional with the ability to work autonomously.
